One of the driving events at the holiday was a timed hill climb.
Although the course ran through a residential neighborhood, spectators
were not allowed beyond the starting gate, so the opportunities to take
photographs were limited.
66 drivers competed in the hill climb, all but one completing the course
with times ranging from 56.5 to 87.4 seconds. The group included four
members of the Midwest 356 Club, who placed as follows:
Ron Goldstein, 64.9 seconds, 17th place
Chuck Schank, 65.2 seconds, 19th place
Rick Gurolnick, 73.7 seconds, 50th place
Ken Smith, 79.1 seconds, 58th place
