Lauderdale Lakes drive, August 2014

Our third driving event of 2014 took us into Wisconsin, starting from West Dundee, Illinois and proceeding to Lake Geneva along a route plotted by Wally Wright and then to Paul Masanek's vacation home in Lauderdale Lakes along some of Paul's favorite country roads.  The weather was perfect, the scenery gorgeous.  Fourteen cars made the drive, divided into two caravans.

Upon arriving at Paul's we were greeted by a delicious lunch of bratwurst and burgers, prepared by Paul's neighbor Cheryl Rindfleisch.  After lunch, Paul treated his guests to rides around the lake on his speedboat.  All told it was a very satisfying day, and many present said they hope Paul will do it again next year.

Under way in West Dundee, Paul and Juanita in their newly re-engined 356B Cabriolet.
